Two young Afghani brothers are sent by their parents to Europe in search of a better life. Over 4000km …walking! Could I even cover that distance with my running in a year? No way! But via Run4Refugees Tom and I together are hoping to do it in less than six months. Your donations go straight to these two brothers and others like them in need. Please support us…and them!

Welcome!

Run4Refugees is a charity project that will begin on January 1, 2016 and end at the finish line of the 100km Ultramarathon in Biel (www.100km.ch) on the 11th of June 2016. Our team is comprised of two running fanatics, Holly and Tom, who have dedicated themselves to help underprivileged children and youths through sport.

Sponsors will be asked to donate per kilometer run by the team during the project, and 100% of donations will go directly to charity organizations in Switzerland (www.savethechildren.ch) and Germany (www.thomas-wiser-haus.de). A minimum donation of 1 cent/Rappe per kilometer run is requested and you can choose to donate to either Holly, Tom or both! Our goal is to run 4,000km together (Holly hopes to reach 1800 and Tom 2200)…if we reach this goal, then sponsoring 1 cent for us together will total 40 Euro in the end (separate donations will total 18/22 Euro/CHF, respectively). Fixed donations are also willingly accepted!

Donating is easy! Simply send us an email to run4refugees@yahoo.com with the following information:
1. Name
2. Email address
3. Donating to 'Holly', 'Tom' or 'Both' (cumulative distance run)
4. The amount of your donation per kilometer (e.g. 5 cents per kilometer)
5. Or a fixed donation value and to which charity it should go

You can support us, not only be being a sponsor yourself, but also by spreading word of this project to yours friends and family, and sharing our website and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/run4refugees.)

We are grateful for any form of support that you are willing to provide!
